Ammar Amonette
Imam Ammar Amonette is a Muslim theologian and a scholar of Islamic law. He has served as the Imam of The Islamic Center of Virginia for 17 years, and previously served as the Imam of the Colorado Muslim Society in Denver. He spent 12 years studying in Saudi Arabia, beginning his studies at Umm Al-Qura University in Mecca and later earning a master’s degree from the Graduate Institute for the Preparation of Imams in Mecca.
He is a member of the World Council of Muslims for Interfaith Relations and has extensive connections in the Muslim world, personally knowing imams at the Holy Mosques in Mecca and Medina.
